The expected exam pattern for the CUET 2025 will be as listed below:

Section IA – Languages: There are 13 different languages namely Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Punjabi, Odia and English.
Section IB – Languages(19): In case candidates want to choose any other language apart from those offered in Section IA, they may choose from 19 languages offered under this section. A Candidate can choose a maximum of any 3 languages from Section IA and Section IB taken together. However, the third language chosen needs to be in lieu of the 6th domain-specific Subject chosen by the candidate – as applicable.
Languages for section IB – French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Sanskrit, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian, and Chinese being offered in this section.
Section II – Domain-Specific Subjects: There are 27 Domains being offered under this section. A candidate may choose a maximum of six (06) Domains as desired by the applicable University/Universities.

Section III: General Test: for all candidates who would like to appear in any such undergraduate programme/ programmes being offered by Universities where a General Test is being used for admission, they may choose this Section.
